What age did you come out to your parents?

If you can’t or need advice comment below! I came out when I was probably 11. (I’m bi)

I told them I was bi at 12, got a bad reaction so the word bi made me uncomfortable for some reason. Age 13 I come out as pan but then after that bad reaction I switch back to Bi bc I realised I don't care (i rlly do care but I try to ignore it) what they think.

Older! I was 22 when I came out to my mom. Still don’t know if my dad knows. Pretty sure my mom thinks it was a phase or something bc I ended up marrying a man :/

For me it was when I wasn't ready to come out. One of my friends invited me to the PRIDE parade that was local to us. So I was extremely excited. And I guess I couldn't be that excited unless I wasn't straight. Or that was my moms reasoning. So one day in the car she straight up asked me if I was gay. I was so not prepared at all and hadn't planned on coming out to my patetns until I was in college. Needless to say it was super uncomfortable. I said I wasn't exactly straight but wasn't sure yet since I didn't know how to describe being pansexual to her. The only good thing about that timing was none of the rest of my family was in the car with us.

I haven’t come out to my parents I came out to my school and my sister but I’m gonna come out to my parents when I move out because I know my mom ain’t  going to be supportive

i think i initially came out to my mom when i was 13 but i got a really bad reaction so the past two years have just been me trying to get her to believe and accept me. i didn’t get a chance to properly come out to my dad before he died but i had mentioned in passing about liking a girl, the same way someone would briefly mention liking a guy.

I was in middle school, maybe around 13/14? I was dating a girl and she used to come over all the time so I eventually just told my mom what the deal was. I struggled to find myself a lot. I thought I was lesbian because I wasn’t into guys for a while, then I thought I was bisexual, and now I identify most closely as pansexual because I’m into all genders. Thankfully my mom reacted positively to my coming out and I’m sad that many others don’t have the same experience.
