What does early movement feel like?

This is my 1st pregancy, I am 15 weeks pregnant with twins and i keep feeling twinges.. sometimes they are shape and make me jump abit if caught off guard. Other times it is like a dull ache.. Is this them moving/kicking? Or should i contact my midwife.

Sounds like movement to me. :) I’ve always described them as popcorn popping or light flicks.

The movements shouldn’t really be painful. The twinges you’re feeling could be round ligament. I had those feelings early on and my doctor said that’s what it was. The first movements sort of felt like when you’re on a roller coaster and it makes its big drop, or like a little fish swimming around in your lower belly. The first kicks feel like muscle spasms or someone thumping you lightly from the inside.
