Should i get the tongue piercing again?

I used to have the snake eyes not close to the tip of my tongue but around there and i don’t have it anymore because i tried changing the jewelry by myself and lost the little balls. Before i got that piercing my boyfriend said he was going to breakup with me and basically saying i don’t love myself if i get it. i’m missing my piercing again and i told him about it and he said “can we compromise? I don’t mind your nose piercing but i don’t like how the tongue piercing looks on you” and that i don’t really think things through before doing them and i joked around saying i’ll suck his dick everyday if i get it. I do care about what he says but i have to live for myself and do what makes me happy.. and i’m currently unemployed but soon will be looking for a job and at my age (18) it doesn’t really matter if i have one or not for the jobs i’m going to get
