Sensation during sex and birth control

This may be a strange question, but figure this is the best place to ask. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Long story short, in my younger years and pre birth control, I had amazing sex with my boyfriend and the sensation during penetration was there. When I say sensation, I mean yes there’s it feels good, then there’s OMG I can’t control my body and can’t stop good.

So, I went on the pill after we broke up, and I didn’t get that OMG sensation for awhile. I thought it was just him (there’s just some people you have chemistry with more than others). I was on the pill (levora) for yearssss, then Mirena, and just felt my sex drive went down.

Mind you, I didn’t notice while it was happening, this is hindsight.

When I broke up again after a long relationship I decided to go completely off of birth control.

Met someone new and when we had sex the OMG sensation was back!

I decided to get the copper IUD since it was non-hormonal, as I feel the hormones messed with my sex drive. And yes, my sex drive is back BUT the OMG sensation is not. It’s almost like my body knows it’s on some sort of birth control and doesn’t let me feel that OMG sensation anymore. I know this is a nutty question lol, but just wondered if there were others out there that feel the sex, but in particular that OMG sensation during penetration was better off of birth control than on.
