Religion?

Question

I️m very lost in my head right now. I️m 17 I talk to god in my head and all these things but i don’t go to church. I don’t know if I believe in him or not and it scares me. I would love to I feel like I do but I️m not sure. I feel like I️m saying I do Beacuse I hope I do I️m not really sure. I️m very scared of death not knowing if I believe in god or not. Has anyone else had this problem. If so how did you find out you truly believe or didn’t.

I went through a similar thing at 17. Started going to youth group with friends, talked to people I trusted about their relationship with the divine, etc. 
I ultimately came to the conclusion that there is no personal god. I considered myself an agnostic for years; now, at 32, I tell people I’m a nontheist. I don’t disbelieve that there are powers at work beyond human thought, but I can’t believe there is a personified deity controlling things. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
I recently discovered that my views are more in line with Hinduism and yoga than any western religion. The concept of Brahman has been so comforting to me, especially where death is concerned. Brahman is not “god,” exactly; Brahman is what is. Brahman is everything, everyone. It is the true reality beyond human perception. We are all Brahman, and Brahman is us. When we die, we simply stop being separate from Brahman. Consciousness is all that makes us separate from what IS. 
The beautiful thing about this concept is that it doesn’t preclude notions of personal deities. Bhakti yoga, for example, involves the worship of a god (or gods). Hindus regard Christianity as a form of Bhakti yoga. Yahweh is simply a manifestation/concentrated focal point of Brahman. It is a way of growing closer to Brahman through worship.
The divine simply is, and we are all part of it. Worship can bring us closer. 
This is, of course, only my journey. I don’t believe I know anything for certain. I don’t need to know anything for certain. What will be, will be.

It’s okay to be unsure and have questions you just have to also educate yourself and try to learn more about God. Even if you can’t make it to church theres church services online that you can watch. Just give God a chance to show you he’s real. Believe in him follow his word and watch what he’ll do for your life. 💓

I spent most of my teens not believing. And I don’t know what I can say to help it took my a really shitty situation and a horrible “boyfriend” to start coming back to the religion I was raised on, maybe pray for guidance even if you don’t believe. Go to church talk to people of the church? I really wish I could help because I don’t know where I would be without God in my life and it’s truly saved me. I truly and  hope and pray you get the answers you are looking for and are able to find your reason to believe
