Should you pump if you’re exclusively breastfeeding? My baby is 7 weeks and I’ve never responded well to a pump.

I like pumping and storing milk. You don’t have to of course. If not pumping is working for you then that’s fine.

I actually messed up my supply by worrying about pumping, storing, freezing etc when I was EBF. I wish I just focused on feeding my son but we made it 5 months, 1 month shy of my 6m goal so I’m thankful for that.

if you're not going to be working or leaving your baby for more than a couple hours until you're done breastfeeding then no... pretty self-explanatory🤷🏼‍♀️

I was never able to pump . I tried so hard with different pumps and nothing worked. so I gave up. I felt miserable because other women seemed to do it so easily. It just didn't work for me. it's not necessary but if you can't /don't want to , it means you need to be with your baby pretty much 24/7. ( not later of course)

I never really pumped but I wanted to have a small little stash just in case something happened (I was away and couldn’t get home in time, baby was fussy between feedings and was with someone else) or if you go out you have something in the freezer to feed baby then you can pump while you’re away. I used a hand pump and just expressed some before a feeding if I was engorged, or after a feeding from the second breast.  Just an ounce or two and froze It. It was easy to get a few bags to have in the freezer for rare occasions. But I never saw a need to do full pumping sessions when I was mostly home with baby and breastfed.
