Cramps while on period

For my past 2 periods I haven’t gotten my PMS cramps, but I have gotten them when I am on my period and they are 10 times worse than before-period-cramps. And I’ve changed nothing, haven’t done anything different. And ik I might sound stupid but if someone could help figure out why I have them and if it’s usual that would be so great
