Boyfriend moving away for university?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and a half, we aren’t on the rocks and very much love each other.

But he just called me and said he’s going to a University two hours away at the beginning of next year. Of course I acted super chill about it, but inside I’m dying.

I don’t know if we’d get to see each other that much amongst having jobs, friends and study...and it’s really worrying me if we’ll last through the distance.

He’s saying he’s buying a place there and wants me to study there with him and live with him, I know he has good intentions but all I can think about is if we break up - where will I go? And would I be weak if I decided to try and study there just to be with a guy?

I desperately need advice before I start going into a spin about this.

EDIT: after talking to my mum she has said I absolutely cannot go there as we can’t afford it.
