I am nothing like my partner's exes, and I was just wondering if anyone else is the same. My partner's exes were white, straight brown hair, short, and skinny. I am black and white with curly Afro like black hair, tall, and considered thick.

i am not. my coworker and i were talking about this and he told me that all his exes were blond and it wasn't because they were his type, it was just how it worked out. i am not my bfs physical "type" but it doesnt matter. he isnt mine either. its not about looks for us. looks can change and people get old. however, when you choose the person you want to be with for the rest of your life, its the rest of the person that really matters most. so do i mind not being his type physically? no, because he chose me over all those women and he wants to spend the rest of his life with me and not any of the beautiful ass women hes been with. just because someone has looks doesnt mean your lives and personalities are compatible

as far as looks hes dated girls that all looked different but his preference in looks is blonde hair blue eyes. his ex before me we look similar. im blonde and blue eyes. as far as personality and character he had some shitty taste in girls cause they either cheated on him or left him in time of need for him. i know his first gf cheated on him and it broke his heart and the ex before me cheated as well. the one before her left him when he had gotten injured from an atv accident. he got back home and she broke up with him telling him she didnt want to deal with him being injured. plus after meeting his ex shes just a pretty shitty person all around she uses people. im nothing like that which explains how we have been together so long cause none of his relationships ever really lasted long i think like a year and a half at most with only one ex the rest were like months long and weve been together 8 years.

I’ve wondered if this was common. My fiancé seems to lean towards the lighter hair color (dirty blonde to light brown), green eyes, fair skin, small lips, the child-like face shape, and shorter girls. 
Most of the girls he follows on instagram and friends on Facebook have green eyes. He’s told me his favorite color of eyes are green. When I told him I wanted to dye my hair he suggested either light brown or red. 
I’m 5’3”, dark brown eyes, dark brown hair, fair-medium skin (depends on time of year), semi-small lips, and not sure that I have the child-like face. 
I’ve always compared myself to his exes and before we got together he was talking to a girl that met all those standards. But he was also talking to me at the same time. In the end he chose me. I’ve never understood... I’ve asked before and the answer I got was that I was just what he’s always wanted. Yet, I still question it.

When it comes to looks he hadn't dated a redhead before. My personality is similar in the ways that we are both nerds and he likes nerds but I am 10x better than exes because I pull my own weight, have motivation and do not manipulate. My poor husband went through a really long/bad relationship.

Girl yes! My SO exes were skinny blonde girls and here I am, brown curly hair, and thick af. I’ve definitely had my insecure moments but after talking to him about it, I know he finds me attractive and loves me for me.
