Looking for similar VBAC stories

Jessica

I am 8w6d and just had my first doctors appointment. I told him I would like to try for a VBAC and he seems pretty supportive either way. He let me know the small risk of uterine rupture and also that my chance for a successful VBAC would be less because of my arrest of dilation. In the VBAC calculator I had a 56% chance of successful VBAC. I had my son 2.5 years ago to C section after I stopped dilating around 7-8cm and I did not respond to pitocin. My contractions continued to get stronger and closer but because I wasn’t able to fully dilate I was just starting to stress him. I feel like the majority of stories I read are based on the baby being too big or being breech. Can’t really seem to find any of successful VBACs with stories like mine. Also I feel like the majority of woman go all natural for VBACs which is not the route I want to take. (don’t shame me for that!) Looking for some advice and stories of women in similar situations and what has helped y’all make that decision. Really would love to try for VBAC because the thought of just scheduling a surgery sounds sad/uneventful versus the excitement of feeling things and the surprise of heading to the hospital!! Thanks for sharing anything positive ladies! 🤔😊
