How much should my 3 week old eat?

He takes about 2oz every 1-2 hours. Is that enough or is that too much if he’s eating 2oz every hour? He doesn’t spit up or anything. He burps and falls asleep and seems content.

Do yourself a favor and grab the Moms on Call book series! It has suggested daily schedules for babies of all ages! I used it as my guide (and still) to help make sure that I was doing what babe needed. I can post a pic of the specific age of you baby in a bit if you would like!

I keep wondering the same. I just had my 2nd on June 3 and he’s been drinking 4oz every 2 hours and my pediatrician doesn’t agree with that. She says he should be able to go at least 3hrs between feedings with 4oz. He is formula fed. He was 11lbs at his 1 month appt on 7/13. I keep letting him eat what he wants when he wants
