How do you wash dishes?

What is your opinion on dishwashers? I’d rather wash by hand but I know people that would rather use their dishwasher.

Rinse them, then dishwasher. Don't want a lot of food particles getting in the dishwasher.

I rinse them before putting them into the dishwasher. 
I use the dishwasher because heat kills bacteria. The temperature that the dishwasher can stand is way higher than what my hands can withstand. It sanitizes the dishes also dries them in a controlled area vs. if you were to let wet dishes sit in a drying wrack. Bacteria love moist places.

Both. We don’t put our dishes in the dishwasher until we have rinsed them first.
