Child support?

This is embarrassing but my daughter is almost 6 and will be starting school soon. Her father has never even bought her a diaper but now claims he wants to be in her life. He was so shifty before so I said fine start paying child support since you take care of 2 other kids and if you’re serious I’ll drive 10 hours for her to see you. Do you think that’s fair or ?

I would meet half way. You aren’t keeping him from seeing her but no need to cater to him if he hasn’t wanted to be a part of her life till now. How do you know he will even see her or do anything with her after you drive 10 hours. Just a thought.

Yep, he needs to be responsible for her too. School expenses are crazy, my son's father is responsible for half of school costs. I wouldnt drive 10 hours to see her though, I would make him meet you half way!
