My SO and I are trying to decide how to navigate our upcoming baby shower plans. We both have family scattered across the U.S. and I hate to ask them to travel to come out for a baby shower and then again to come see the baby after he/she is born. Traveling is so expensive and time consuming, it just seems like too much. So we thought of having a mail-in shower and then a “come meet the baby party” after the baby is born. My question is, does this seem rude? To receive an invitation for a meet the baby party and to mail any gifts?
