I need help.

Nicole • Wife, and mother to a beautiful baby boy 💙💙 3.2.19

So my work has be in a temporary place and we are now moving back.

We are a small salon that had some renovations done.

I told my boss i am pregnant so he knows.

Ive been trying to help but keep it light, but now he has me walking up & down stairs caring boxes.

My role here is a receptionist not a mover. No other employees are here to help but one and shes not even moving things.

Should i tell him something?

If so what?

Im having more cramping now and im scared something bad will happen.

Anything 25 pounds or lighter is fine to carry if you don't have any restrictions and so far have a healthy pregnancy, being active is a good thing! But if before you were pregnant your weren't very active it's not recommended to do anything new or crazy but lifting some boxes will be fine unless they are crazy heavy and your straining yourself? Otherwise it's okay! And your going to cramp your whole pregnancy lol the cramping is probably just from being more active, pregnancy is a tiring thing.... if your cramps become unbearable and you have bleeding then I would worry

Well only do what you feel like your body can handle! I wasn't saying your wrong and he's right I was just saying like you are safe and arnt putting urself in any danger, until you see your doctor I would just tell him you don't feel comfortable doing that until you see your doctor if your doctor gives u the all clear then ur good!

I havent seen the dr yet. I still have 2 weeks before i do, so i havent been told anything. I have a cold so i am extra weak today. Again he knows this. My body is extremely achy now with pain shooting up & down my legs. I ended up leaving early. I just have to be selfish now. I cant keep walking up & down steps all day and caring things.

What restrictions has your doctor given you? If they instructed you not to lift heavy weights or avoid certain movements, then you need to follow their instructions. If you're not sure of what you are doing is safe, then give your doctor a call.
