38 week softer?

My belly has been rock hard almost this entire time, but I went walking today came home and showered now my stomach feels softer than usual. Should I be concerned? Is he engaging?

mines soft at the bottom now I'm 35+2. my last appointment midwife said he was starting to engage so guess he's getting lower xxx

When my son dropped in my first pregnancy, it was a very noticeable difference at the top of my bump. I went from having basically no room under my ribcage to being able to place my hand horizontally on top of my belly, and feeling nothing but space underneath. I don't remember if my lower part felt softer, though.
