Bartholin’s Cyst? (Descriptive. Graphic.)

Hi! I’ve just experience my first bartholin’s cyst and i was wondering if anyone else has suffered from one before? Mine burst on its own and seemed to drain blood and and an almost clear fluid. It was semi painful before the burst and the cyst itself was about as big as a grape. Should I be concerned about possibility of cancer? Just looking for some reassurance that I’m not alone.

they hurt like a bitch. i used to get them. id squeeze them till they pop because they hurt so much

I have had 4 of them. All in the same spot. Finally, my doctor told me to come in one day when it was getting big and hadn’t drained yet. She ended up cutting it open, removed the abscess and drained it for me, then I went on antibiotics and it has not come back since. 
It scared me really bad he first time so I know how you feel! My doctor said not to worry about cancer as the cysts are benign and quite common. Good luck!

I used to have recurring bartholin cysts mine came from shaving 😭 and it was very painful. Don’t be scared though. It’s normal. Try using tea tree oil 😊

They are a fluid filled cyst, and completely normal!

Generally cysts will always come back because they need to surgically remove the sack - you drain it, it goes, but it will re fill over time, I don’t think there is any link to Cancers but speak to a professional if you are worried x
