Maternity nurses?!!

Co

I don’t know if everything I’ve learnt about pregnancy so far is wrong or if they need to seriously improve the training they’re giving to these sonographers/nurses at my hospital.

So earlier this month I had the sonographer telling me that it’s impossible for a baby to measure ahead and that it is what is (yet I’m measuring ahead so clearly it is possible)

Today I went to the maternity assessment ward, I was told last week if I had reduced movement to contact them as soon as possible, so I did and they told me to go in. When I got there the nurse that saw me said because I’m only 17 weeks movement isn’t consistent (I’m aware of this) and that I won’t be taken seriously till I’m 26 weeks. She said they’ll only check the heartbeat they won’t give me a scan (I didn’t ask for one), and they may not be able to find a heartbeat because the baby is so tiny (last week the nurse found it instantly). I told her that I keep waking up with a lump at one side that moves when I get up and walk, she said it’s probably ligaments because the baby’s too small to see and it doesn’t even have limbs yet (??!!!!) ok well I’d love for someone to explain how my baby had arms and legs at my 14 weeks scan and I heard a strong heartbeat at 16 weeks but now at 17 weeks it’s too tiny to have a heartbeat and doesn’t have limbs?!! I explained my theory that the baby is tucked in on the left side and she basically laughed at me and acted like I was having myself on, yet when she used the Doppler she only put the monitor on the left hand side🤔 I don’t understand how they’re getting away with giving inaccurate information, to anyone but especially first time mums!
