Children or College?

Okay so I'm 17 and lately I've been trying to get my life in order so I've been planning far ahead. I had a talk to my boyfriend about us having kids when I'm 18 or 19 and we both agreed. So today I recently introduced the idea of me going to college to my boyfriend and he said he doesn't wanna have kids while I'm in college. I've always dreamed about being a mother around 18 or 19. there's no way I want to be that 30 year old with a 1 year old when I can be 30 with an 11 year old. I'm starting to consider not going to college. we'll be fine

Go to college. Your post beams of immaturity and lack of responsibility. Do not start with kids.

Depends on your financial situation. At 18-19 no way in hell would I have been able to support myself and a child. 
I waited til 25 and my daughter has everything (including an amazing health insurance) and has to want for nothing.

I waited. I experienced so much life between 17 and now and I learned so many invaluable life lessons to pass on to my son. I’ve lived 3,000 miles from home, traveled the world, gone to college, worked different jobs, lived in different places, explored the different versions of myself. I am so much more stable in every sense of the word than I was in my late teens/early 20s. I’ve had a career and left that career to be a SAHM. I have a little bit of a retirement that will be a nice bonus when my kids are grown. I have a solid relationship, own a home, am able to save for family vacations and my child’s future. I have matured emotionally and mentally to be able to navigate the challenges of parenthood. I’m not saying it can’t be done and done well at a younger age. But for me personally, waiting until now is the best thing I could have done for my child, my husband, and myself.  I would say go to college. Learn, and grow, and live your life. There’s plenty of time for the rest. ❤️

What kind of life will you be able to provide for your children when you're 18/19, compared to when you finish school? 20 years from now when you look back on your life, will you say that you wish you had gone to college, or you wish you had kids sooner?

Go to school. Wait and make a better life for you and your future baby. Coming from someone who is pregnant at 18 and hoping that I’ll be able to make it through college with a newborn, I would have loved to have been out of school before I got pregnant.

This entire post screams that you aren't ready for this kind of life decision. Continue with school. You have plenty of time for kids. Don't throw college out the window because you're impatient

Go to school for 4 years and get a degree! Have a kid when you’re 22! Enjoy your 21st birthday without kids too 😁 
I had my first two months before I turned 21 and my second at 24. I think it was the perfect timeline for me. And now we are trying for our third and final!

What about having a child in your 20’s? When you have your education and a job, house, etc and can financially support a family. I know some women that have Waited until their 30’s for children as they can support their children a lot more than they could before. I would wait personally, go to college and think about children after

You’re only 17. More important for you to have a good career so you don’t have to rely on anybody. It’s best to have kids when you’re financially ready for them.
