When does ovulation come back while breastfeeding (period has returned)

Hi everyone! I’m 6 months postpartum and I am breastfeeding my baby with the addition of solids and some water.

My period has started up again and I’m in my second cycle as we speak. My husband and I are trying to conceive again (I know it’s soon but we want our babies close in age) and I was wondering if anyone knew when ovulation would occur?

Last cycle I had my period I did not ovulate, or I missed it. (I was using clearblue advanced digital and while fertility was high I never “peaked.”)

If any of you were in the same boat please let me know your experience and how it worked out. Thanks!
