How many embryos?

How many embryos did you have transferred and why? I am 34 and getting ready for my third FET and trying to decide how many embryos to transfer. My doctor prefers to do one because of the increased chance of risks with a multiple pregnancy, but she said it's reasonable to do two for our third attempt. We are so torn!

I'm 30 and did my second fet this morning. we put 2 in as it was suggested by my doctor since we were unsuccessful putting 1 in for the first round. I never wanted multiples it's crazy how your mind can adapt when the outcomes are limited for you.

Did you do PGS testing?  We did 1 embryo each time and are currently 27 weeks after our 3rd FET.  Good Luck!

My doctor would also encourage one, but if I were on my 3rd transfer I would do 2.

I transferred 2 on my 3rd transfer. That round of ivf we didn’t do PGS. We’re starting a new cycle and doc is only transferring 1.

Have you failed transfers with PGS healthy embryos?  If so there might be more to it then just embryos.

Will you done any additional testing, like uterine receptivity, before the transfer? I think I would be worried that after 2 something else may be wrong and it’s not just an arrested embryo. If not, I think I’d say transfer 1. If so, then 2. And I guess it depends on how many you have banked. If it’s your last 2, then I’d definitely ask more questions.
