traveling post lap

So I'm having my laparoscopy on Sept 11,which is a Tuesday. I'll be out of work until the following Monday. Our anniversary is on Sept 16 and we were thinking of taking a trip quick together during that time I'm out of work anyways. Was that feasible for any of you ladies post-lap? We get so little time off, especially together (our schedules are opposite) and I just want to know if it's a possibility or if I'll just wish I was dead for several days until I heal
