Chemical Pregnancy
I got my first ever BFP on July 14th 3 days (before expected AF) and I was over the moon excited. I was obsessed with testing since my first appointment wasn’t scheduled until August 14th. I tested with a digital test on July 18th and still positive. On the 21st I started bleeding at first light and then it got heavier. I called the doctor and they said the only thing I could do was come in for a beta test. I went in the following day and my test came back negative. I was devastated. I saw the results come in on Sunday but that didn’t make it any easier when the doctor called on Monday to let me know my test was negative and I was no longer pregnant. They offered me a follow up appointment today so of course I wanted to go in and make sure everything was ok. I went in today and since my regular ob/gyn was on vacation I had to meet with another doctor in the practice. He only asked me a few questions and let me ask a few and that was it.
Anyone that has had a CP have you had a similar experience? I was expecting an examination or an ultrasound to check and see if there was something that caused this to happen, but he basically just told me if I never tested early I would have never known I was pregnant. I’m just wondering if he was brushing me off or if that is the normal practice.
