2 years ago I moved from Melbourne to Devonport, Tasmania to be with my partner after I got pregnant with our son Dawson.

The first 12 months seems really easy with me, SO and Bub at home - this year my SO started work and it’s just been me and Bub during the day and I’ve found that I started to become depressed about the lack of adult conversation during the day - so I joined some local FB mothers groups - anyway they organised a get together today at the local jungle gym and I finally decided to attend and take Dawson, when I got there at the designated start time there was no table reserved or separate section for the mothers group and no obvious signs of who was in the mothers group - I found it frustrating and disheartening that for me - I went out with the intention of meet other mums who could become friends and for Dawson to play with other kids and instead we ended up sitting on our own for morning tea and Dawson was happy playing on the equipment on his own.

Sorry for the long rant - I’m just unsure on what to do. Do I contact the lady who organised it and explain or do I just try again at the next get together and hope it’s better organised?
