IUD!?

Ladies, I got my IUD fitted on the 19th of this month and I wanted to let you all know that it isn’t as painful as the horror stories make out to be. All experiences are different. I was fitted with the Kyleena as I believe the Mirena was too wide for my uterus opening.

The cramps afterwards were quite painful but were handled well with paracetamol and ibuprofen every once in a while.

I want to tell you ladies, if you believe that it is right for you then you should do it. It was a little less painful for me as they gave me an anaesthetic, maybe if you’re afraid then ask for that. I don’t know if it applies in every clinic but it helped a lot with mine.

Good luck ladies!
