Ultrasound growth/size estimation accuracy?

Every ultrasound my son has been like 1.5 lbs bigger than average. I’m wondering how accurate these are?

Ours was dang close. At 36 weeks, he was estimated at 8 lb 14 oz with a 21 oz variable (so could have been 21 oz more or less). I was so freaked out. We delivered a week later and he weighed 8 lb 9 oz! So pretty close to the estimate! Glad he didn’t cook another 3 weeks.
