I see oh so many posts and profiles of young girls TTC whilst still living with parents and keeping it hidden! Why are you TTC at such a young age and behind your parents back? That is not your home and at 16 you are laying some, if not all responsibility on your parents and that is simply unfair. You have your entire life ahead and many opportunities to conceive in the future! When you have a stable job, a reliable vehicle, have finished school, and have a steady relationship. If you are considering getting pregnant at 14 or 15 or 16 or 17, whatever age, PLEASE consider the strain you will put on your relationships, the struggle you will face with finances, the fact you may not finish school, the selfishness and irresponsibility it imposes on family members you and your child, and the fact you will need your own vehicle and your own place to live AND the sheer effort you will have to put in to make this work in your relationship, and within yourself AND for your baby to live the life he or she deserves. Getting pregnant at such a young age not only affects you, it affects your parents, and your child as well. I got pregnant at 19 and wish I had waited. At 19 it was tough and I could not imagine getting pregnant at an even younger age. If not for anything else THINK ABOUT YOUR CHILD'S FUTURE please. Without a proper education and finances your child will suffer in the long run. I am not at all stating teens are bad parents. There are some great teen parents. I am simply saying it is well worth the wait for you, your relationships and your child. Best of luck to teens who are already pregnant and I wish you the best on your journey but if you are not pregnant reconsider.
