I own my own apartment. no loan.

Rent, because the housing market to buy is so bad right now. So we are just going to continue saving so we can build our own home in a year or so.

Own- we wanted to have pets and pay just as much for a house payment as we would for a 2 bedroom apartment. Plus having a fenced in yard means we don’t have to take them out on leashes 100x a day.

Own because our mortgage payment is cheaper than renting in our area. I also love being able to make changes to my house without having to get approval from a landlord.

Own, it’s cheaper than renting where we live. And we don’t have a landlord who can walk in anything they want!

We own (by which I mean we have a mortgage on) a >100-year-old house and it’s such a PITA. Life was much simpler when I just called a landlord when something broke.
Having a yard is great with a dog and toddler, but we could be renting a house and have the same.

Own. We were incredibly blessed to be able to build our home before we were married. I also have a difficult time paying rent, because to me it feels like money down the drain 🤷🏼‍♀️

Own because 5 years ago my now husband and I decided we could financially either afford to buy a house or get married at that time and we chose the house. The market was changing so we decided to buy before we got priced out of what we needed. Looking back it was a great decision- today renting a home with the same specs as our current house would cost us more than our mortgage.
