Will I be skipping my period next cycle?

I took a little break from the pill but I've just started again after a few months. I have about 16 days left till my period is scheduled to start but if I continue on the pill without the placebo, will I skip my period? My boyfriend and I have been doing long distance for a good while but my period is scheduled to start the day I leave to see him and that's something I reallly don't want to happen.
