I was talking with my best friend the other night while we scrolled through our socials. We started talking about our past relationships and I had remembered my first love had gotten engaged not that long ago. Seeing as we had dated for six years and were almost engaged to one another, it meant more to me than other fleeting relationships. We are no longer friends on social media because of the way things ended- what he did to me and our relationship- but information as big as an engagement is easily obtainable. I went to check his profile and there it was, his status was changed from engaged to married. I expected to feel upset, but I didn’t. I felt happy for him, and her. I don’t really know why I’m making this post, I guess I’m just proud of myself for moving on in a healthy way. I just hope he treats her right.
