“Wash It By Hand”

So... last night my bf and I were cooking. I like to clean as I go to avoid a big pile up of dishes. So he was rising and putting things in the dishwasher and I had a chopping knife and asked him to “wash it by hand” because you shouldn’t put knives in the dishwasher (ruins the blade).

I keep cooking and just happen to turn around and see him literally washing the knife with his hand! Like slowly rubbing soap on the blade! He said, “this is pretty dangerous are you sure I can’t use the brush?”

I stopped him before an accident occurred and just busted out laughing.

He was so confused.

I asked him why he was using his hand to lather up the knife, he answered with

“Well you said wash it by hand, so I was washing with my hand?”

I folded over on the counter laughing.

I eventually explained that I didn’t literally mean for him to use his hands, just to not just the dishwasher.

Luckily he has a good sense of humor and laughed at himself too lol
