Is elective induction (39 weeks) dangerous?

Im considering it.  I live an hour away from the hospital, and if I make it to 39-40 weeks, I’ll get induced.  I’m hoping she comes naturally before then 😊

I’ve had two - the first was rough delivery , I was 39 weeks and think it simply wasn’t time yet. Still, luckily I did deliver vaginally and all turned out fine. With 2nd baby I was induced at 40 + 3 and was smooth, fast delivery

i was induced with my first it was smooth. whole thing took 4hrs and 20mins.

My first went smooth, 40 weeks. My second is this Friday and I expect it to be smooth again. They said it helps when your cervix is favorable

Mine saved my son. I was already 75% effaced and 3cm though. His cord was wrapped around his neck and was like a string. It only ended in emergency c section because the contractions were forcing the cord to tighten. So not always bad.

I got an elective induction with my first who is 4 now and it went smooth for me . yeah I was in labor for 10 hrs but I only pushed for literally less then 5 mins . I had a good experience and will be doing another elective induction in two days ! BUT everyone is different 💁

I was induced with my first and it went perfect! It wasn’t “extra painful” or “way longer” than natural labor like everyone says inductions always are. 
That being said, mine was not “elective” and I would’ve never chosen to induce just out of impatience. I have to be induced this time as well, once again, not by choice and I’m certainly not fearing the induction process. Still, I wish I could’ve gone naturally this time.

With my second I had an elective induction because my oldest was going through chemo and I needed to plan for her Dr visits and check ups.  It was easy and effortless.  I was given cytotec at 8 and she was born a little after 3 pm.  I had an epidural and everything went fine she was perfect.

mine with my first sucked. I wouldn't do elective ever again. second labor was so much easier and quicker! I blame pitocin for alot of it lol.
