If I dyed my hair 1 week ago and I want to use another box of hair dye today to try to get the color right is it okay??

I’m going to be unpopular opinion. But yes. I dyed my hair even sooner than that. My hair isn’t fried. Isn’t over processed and is still super healthy. Still. You need to take extra care of your hair. I. E. Deep condition and use leave in conditioner. Even a hair mask once a week. It can be done wrong of course, so just be careful.

As a hairstylist I will say that everyone’s hair is different and colouring can actually be good for your hair it’s when you start lightening when you get into fried hair and split ends. With that being said the only way to fix split ends is to get a cut no conditioning treatment or oils is going to fix that. Also keep in mind that colour doesn’t lift colour so if the colour you have now is darker than what you are looking for you have to use lightener/bleach. 
Side note: most box dyes use a 40volume developer and it’s not needed it’s more damaging to the hair so a nice deep condition after will keep your hair feeling silky also keep in mind any ash colours in box dyes are a green undertone

If you don’t like the color and you used a permanent box dye, go see a professional for a color correction. Don’t try to do it again by yourself- it could turn out very badly for your hair. Better to just go to a professional!

Depends on the condition of your hair if it’s healthy and feels okay then yes just make sure to use a deep conditioner onit for the next week or so to repair it x

Plz do NOT do that like plz I’m only 13 and I’ve had my hair dyed around 5 times 3x bleached highlights and 2x box dye and the box dye I added the second one like 2 hours after the first and I’m not kidding I had to cut most of my hair off I’m REALLY NOT kidding and now I’m left with hair down to my chest when it was down past my hips so DONT do that xx

Deposit like  going darker or staying in the same tone won’t hurt that much at all. Do a conditioning treatment before you color. Sally’s has great hair bonding additives for cheap. If you are lifting with bleach, that’s a different story. Adding a color to the hair is not that damaging, lifting or bleaching, breaks the bonds to extract the pigment but even that can be done safely in a week.
