Try your absolute best not to miss school or at least don't let it become a habit. It's very easy to fall behind. Make friends but keep in mind that you may lose some along the way. Take care of your mental health FIRST! Good luck!!! 💛

I’m gonna be a sophomore (10th grade) and my advice for freshman year is #1, in the beginning, look around to see where your classes are so you don’t get lost. It could be before school in the morning or at lunch. I almost got lost and it scared me. The reason why I didn’t get lost was because when I went to orientation, I got a map and circled all my classes from 1-6/7 and drew a line to where my next class was the next period.  #2, I’m not gonna say “oH, dOnT gEt InTo DrAmA”, because you will get into drama. There’s always drama. My regret is, when there’s drama, I didn’t ignore it, I made it worse by responding. I’m not saying if people are harassing you, just ignore it or bully them back. I’m saying stand up for yourself, without making it worse. #3, STUDY. STUUUUDY. I never did my homework and got low scores on my tests and now I’m paying for it. This year I have to take freshman math while I’m a sophomore 😔 it’s really embarrassing and my parents are disappointed. I hate that feeling. #4, CHOOSE THE RIGHT FRIENDS. It’s always good making friends, but make sure you choose the right friends. The wrong friends will lead you to never ending drama. My best friend of two years, became my ex-best friend because she turned out to be a bad person. A way you can make a friend is by complimenting or stating similarities between you and another person. Like, “Hey, I have the same shoes as you.”, or something along the lines of that. Lastly, #5, be on good terms with your teachers. If yo teachers don’t like you, it’s gonna be real hard to get good grades in your class.
