Has anyone gotten an IUD who havent had children?

Ivd been thinking about potentially getting the IUD, but when i talked to my OB/GYN she said that its 100% possible, but usually not suggested to women who havent had a child before due to the extreme cramping that occurs when its implanted. Is there anyone on here who has gotten an IUD without having children and could you share your experience with me?

I did... and within 3 weeks it expelled itself from my uterus and now they refuse to do another until after I have a child. It makes it less favorable just because the risk of your body rejecting it is higher. But everyone is different

I have a copper Paraguard IUD. No hormones. I’ve had it for 2 years, and I love it. No issues EVER! LOOOOVE ITTTTT

I got my IUD put in a month ago. It was painful but just remember to take some ibuprofen before your appointment. You’ll have some cramping for a couple days while your uterus adapts. I haven’t had any issues with it! But remember everyone’s body responds differently.

I got it a month ago. they had to dilate my cervix and the pain felt like very intense cramps like on the floor cant move cramps which is how mine are anyways. theres a cramping pain that goes down your vagina, butt, and upper thighs. the actual insertion didnt hurt after that. she had me rest for a few mins after insertion. I was able to get up and walk to the car just fine. my husband drove me. I recommend taking a friend, it helped me. i had 2 weeks of cramps then a week of bleeding. every now and then i get a cramp but it's not bad.
