Is it ok to take just Folic Acid & Vitamin D while pregnant?

I tried a prenatal vitamin and it broke me out like CRAZY! Thoughts?

My doctor told me I only needed folic acid and vitamin D so I’m sure it’s fine.  My midwife gave me a supply of prenatals so I’m taking them but she said there was no harm in me just taking the folic acid I’d purchased on it’s own.

Maybe try a different brand? I broke out due to hormones...you sure it’s due to prenatals?

Yep and add iron to your list. The main 2 that you need are folate and iron. Most other vitamins you will get from your food but you will be making more blood so you need that extra boost of iron

Yes and also iron. I’m severely anemic and it really is not fun during pregnancy!
