I recently found out I have HPV--I'm not too worried about it, since I've had all my Gardisil shots and my OBGYN said it should pass in a year. I've been struggling with a lot of self-shame, especially since I had a religious background growing up. What are ways you've dealt with/accepted having an STI virus? Logically, I feel like it's any other illness, but emotionally, I keep feeling the past creep up that I'm somehow "dirty".
