Breast pump 101? Help

I’m 21 weeks and I would like to breastfeed and pump...I have no idea about any of this. Do I have to only use the bottles that specifically come with the bump or can any bottle attach to it?

many have an attachment. when looking for a pump you want a closed system. that means milk cannot make it in the tubes or interworkings of the pump. Medela is a good brand but some of their pumps are open system. I recently received a Spectra s2plus through insurance and it is a closed system. Medela makes an adaptor that will fit to the Spectra flanges.

I bought a pack of 8 bottles for $20.00 yesterday at Marshall's. They come with attachments to fit most breast pumps.

Only certain bottles will fit the grooves on the pump.
