I was scheduled for a regular appointment and a pap, but then I got pregnant so they just did the pap at my first appointment. I thought that paps were considered “preventive care” but I got a bill for it. The insurance company said that it’s not coded as preventive when you’re pregnant. Has anyone else run into this? Does anyone know why pregnancy makes it not preventive anymore? Thanks!
