When did your husband/partner begin to bond with your belly?

I’m 13+5. It took us years to conceive. Although I’m still early in my pregnancy , baby isn’t kicking yet, and my belly is still fairly flat I’ve been expecting my hubby to begin kissing my belly, spooning me while holding my belly, and talking to my belly.
He’s done nothing unless I tell him to. I am really hoping it’s just because it’s too soon. I really want him to start noticing me and baby/belly. It’s such a lonely feeling 😔

It took us years to conceive, too. My husband would not even acknowledge we were pregnant until he saw the baby on the ultrasound. Infertility affects men emotionally too, and sometimes it takes them a while for the baby o feel real to them.

Mine never did. He would feel my stomach briefly to feel a kick here and there but that was it. 
He was super bonded to our daughter when she was born though. Even now she has him wrapped around her little finger lol 💜

Since the day we found out he would talk to my belly, now more so that we know the gender ( which happens to be what we prayed for ) and the baby kicks. This is our second kid and he’s “jealous” that I feel the baby move 😂😍😍 so sweet.

I wouldn’t say my husband does things like that a lot. That doesn’t mean he’s not interested in the pregnancy though. It can take dads longer to feel the connection sometimes. When baby starts kicking, then there’s a way they can actually interact, so that changes things.

Mine does all the talking to belly stuff and kissing the belly stuff as soon as we get the positive. It only gets ‘worse’ as it goes on and we get to the point where baby can actually hear his voice.
But my husband’s a total sap and has always dreamed of being a father, and I picked him to be my husband for a reason lol.

my husband never really bonded with baby while in my belly. the kicking thing really weirds him out and we are on baby #2! it's different for men, it's like they are on the outside looking in and it can be hard to connect with a child he can't interact with yet. I wouldn't take it so personal, my husband is a fantastic father to our son and they are like two peas in a pod. they cuddle on the couch and read books or play or watch cartoons. he may act differently when you are really showing and the reality can set in.

Mine started touching and kissing my belly  when I began approaching the half way point but he won’t talk to the baby. I don’t really expect him to be very hands on until she’s actually born. Don’t get me wrong., he’s very caring but it’s just the kind of man he is.

with me and his first pregnancy it was as soon as tge positive came up but i only noticed some of it. i found out after having my son that he used to watch me sleep and play music to the baby and talk to him. with this pregnancy he does sometimes and im at about 10 weeks but i know after baby starts kicking he will start loving the baby even more and will get even worse once we know gender cus he talks to the baby using their name after we find out gender.

My husband didn’t start really engaging with my belly until 20+ weeks, but even now at 31 weeks he feels kicks at night and talks to him a few nights a week. I wouldn’t say he’s obsessed all day everyday though. Other than feeling kicks and sometimes talking to him at night, he shows more affection to the fact that I have a belly and it’s growing. Each person will respond differently and in their own time, but feeling kicks was a big help. I’m sure he’ll come around 😊
Although one night he was talking to my belly and our little guy kicked him in the mouth 😂 I think that encouraged him to speak more because he knows now that he can hear him.

Way before I got pregnant he would already be kissing and hugging my belly. I'm 12w3d and he goes crazy he even sleeps on my belly.
