Question for Experienced Moms: Curtains or Blinds?

...Is it wise to use curtains for nurseries, or is it a bigger risk of being pulled down as baby gets older/toddler? 
We currently have blinds, but I wanted to add curtains to hover it for more darkness or warmth...okay okay, and because it’s more fun to use for decorating. But, I’m wanting to be wise about it.

We have both! Blinds can be a strangulation risk, however, if you have the kind that need a cord to be pulled up or down. Ours are completely cordless, so I use them in addition to blackout curtains. If you had to choose just one I’d say the blackout curtains are a must for daytime naps. If you use a stud finder to securely fasten the curtain rod to the wall they should be fine.

I use both. I have cordless blinds and absolutely love them. I like the blinds for privacy and curtains for decorations and the ability to darken the room if need be. I have never had a problem with my babies/kids ever pulling down either of them

We just use big decorative blinds. Great for privacy. We never darken her room during the day. We let the sun in if it’s shining. She’ll sleep anywhere, any time with no issues.

we have the vertical blinds that go back and forth on a track so no strangulation risk and curtains. my toddler will open them every now and then but has never attempted to pull them down.

my mom almost died when she was a baby from the cord for the blinds so I will never have them

Well if baby is going to pull down curtains they will also be able to pull down blinds. We put up blinds and curtains though, because the sun shines directly into the side of the house the nursery is on.. plus like you said, we wanted to decorate!
