What’s baby registry??

Question

Can someone please tell me what a baby registry is and how you register? I’ve seen other moms talk about it but last night while I was watching Jane the virgin, they also brought it up. What the heck is it?

A baby registry is a gift registry, where you sign up at specific stores or apps, and put products you want for baby on the list. You can use it for yourself to stay organized and on budget, or send it to friends and family for them to purchase approved items for your baby shower or whenever is appropriate. I even put my diaper stockpile numbers on my registry. Babylist is an app that allows you to add items from any online store (bed, bath, and beyond/amazon/Etsy) and they send you a complimentary baby box of items and coupons when you set it up. I also have a registry started via amazon for their prime baby box, and one with target (also for the welcome bag). A lot of good resources if you put in the legwork.

Ummm welll.... You make it for a baby shower that you want to throw. you pick items that you want and need for the baby and give people the link or they can look up your name and buy it
