Placenta stuck for 13 days

Kimo-Lee

After giving birth, the placenta was stuck for more than an hour and they tried all different sorts of drugs to get it to detach from my uterus. When it came out, they said it was huge. 6 days after giving birth, I went for a check up and my son was alright but my blood pressure was high. I didn't have this problem before so they gave me a next date to come back and it was still high. They then told me to go back yesterday and it was even higher so they gave me a letter to go back to the hospital. Because I had a terrible experience there and there aren't any other maternity hospitals nearby, I decided I'd try some natural remedies to get my blood pressure down and if it didn't go down the next day, I'd go straight to the hospital. I tried using garlic and a few hours later, I started feeling menstrual-like cramps. It turns out that at 13 days postpartum, a huge piece of placenta was still stuck inside me and it was 3 in the morning and I was home alone with the baby.
