Bachelor/Bachelorette parties

Okay so how do you people feel about bachelor and bachelorette parties? Some say that they’re awful because they are for the partners to do whatever they want (literally anything) on this one night before “settling down” as if it is a bad thing And that it tears down the idea of marriage. And then some say it doesn’t matter, it’s just a party for the partners to spend with friends and what not.

My fiancé and I equally agree on a party together to spend with our family and friends.
