Do I still have a chance? 😩 (And do I count from the first or last positive OPK?)
Hi guys :) my first month TTC again post my endometriosis excision, had the excision on the 18th of July and ovulated on or around the 7th of August (may have been the 6th or the 8th - I had 3 days of positive OPKS so wasn’t sure exactly which day that would have happened) Because I still wasn’t feeling 100%, and because my husband had some , shall we say, performance anxiety, we only BD on the 5th and the 3rd, so both still in my fertile window, but I’m worried that because we did the deed a few days before I potentially O’d, that we might be out this month? I know I’m probably reading too much into it and can’t test yet but this is my 3rd year TTC and this surgery has given me high hopes for the next few months. I am finding mixed info about how long sperm can live in fertile conditions, some saying 1-2 days and others up to 5? I’m looking for anyone who may have conceived when they didn’t necessarily do the deed on the day of their O! This is my little calendar - any info, particularly around my chances this month, and the standard viability of sperm, would be so helpful! He’s hopeful and feels like we still have a chance - I feel less so. (Have also attached my ovulation tests, I feel like I got a positive on the 5th, but an even stronger positive on the 7th? Do I count from the first or last positive opk? )
