Help I'm so scared to give birth!!
Ok so I still have a looooong way to go as I am only 15+5 weeks along but I have been debating for years how I am going to give birth.
I am terrified of pain! But my pain tolerance is pretty high once I'm actually in pain... Hopefully that even makes sense, I'm just a big baby haha!
I don't know whether or not to get an epidural. My dad makes comments about not letting them mess with my spine, my mother had 4 children naturally without pain meds and he feels that I could totally handle it. Better than risking spinal injury right?
Me though, I feel that I won't be able to handle it.. I mean, I can deal with pain, but I never have known pain of this magnitude before either. I also know that the Epidural does not always work for everyone so I really want to read other womens birthing stories and I'd appreciate if you could just focus on the pain lol.
Did you feel them cut you (if they even had to cut you)? Did you feel yourself rip? Was it just the contractions that hurt? See I'm confident that I can probably do contractions because I had REALLY, TERRIBLE period cramps which I understand aren't comparable to the pain of contractions, but they are the same type of pain as far as I have gathered.. but is there really any other pain than that or do the contractions kinda make you ignore everything else?
Obviously as I'm sure you have gathered this is my very first pregnancy that I will carry to term (I have confidence in it so shhhh). So I really am very nervous but so excited at the same time😍😍. Pregnancy is full of so many new feelings. Just want some insight so I can get on with my birth planning. (I like to be ahead of the game and I loooove information.)
Thank you 😁 and God bless you all!
