What are your thoughts on countries banning the niqab being worn in public? Some people think that the niqab being worn in public is dangerous as a woman’s whole face is covered, and if they were to commit a crime, nobody can identify them. However some people want it banned for no other reason than they’re Islamphobic. I understand the view that having your whole face covered can be a danger, as the public usually isn’t usually allowed to have their whole face covered when in shops and such, but the niqab is an accepting. (At least where I’m from)

I do think there is no reason to ban the burka, which shows your face, as that wouldn’t stop anybody from being identified.
