Let’s talk lingerie ladies

So I’m new to sex and I’ve never owned lingerie really before. I mean sexy bra sets yes and thongs and lace and all that. But Teddy’s? Baby dolls? Garter sets? Nothing like that. So I’ve bought some. My question is when do you ladies wear it? At home with your man? Under your clothes on a night out or date night? When you need a boost and no one will see but you know you look sexy? I’m new to this so really curious. I’d love to wear it out underneath my outfit for a surprise later but not sure how common this is? And stockings and garter belts have me so confused. Like when do you wear those? Just at home? Thanks for any clarification and help. Or suggestions!
