Nervous

So 8 days ago I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. As of today I am 3 days late for my period according to the app. I'm nervous to take another test and it be negative and I start bleeding the next day. But I'm also nervous to wait to do it knowing I'm still drinking occasionally and smoking (for medical reasons).

So here we are 6 days later and my period still hasn't come. Any ideas on what I should do?
