Implantation bleeding or period?

This is my first month TTC. I get a period monthly, but my cycle varies from 20-40 days. It’s averaging 33 days right now but that’s just an average. I’m on day 23 of my cycle and I’ve had mild cramps all day. Just went pee and there was some blood when I wiped. Do you think it’s possibly implantation bleeding? Should I test? My hopes are not high.

If it IS implantation bleeding a test won't tell you anything. The egg only just implanted which means now's the Time for your body to start pumping up that HCG for your pregnancy test. Give it a few days at least then test. 
Annoyingly, there's no way to know which it is until you get a period or a positive test, and you honestly probably won't get a positive today if you just had the bleed. 
Good luck! I'm TTC and had pink spotting today too. My cycle is totally a mystery since I'm breastfeeding, but if I were back on a regular cycle my period is due this weekend. I'm really hoping mine was implantation but there's no way to know 😭😭

It could be either. If it’s IB then the blood will be bright pink and only very light and pale or it’ll be dark old blood. Any bright red blood is almost certainly a period and if it’s more than just a very small amount it’s probably a period. Wait to see if it develops into a period and if not take a test in at least a few days. Best of luck :) x

IB isn’t bright red and its a very small amount that would come out with discharge. Sounds like AF but no way to know until you test or get your period.
